Know why everyone is trying to sell you a holiday!

If while sipping your favorite coffee, in the 10 minute break from the work you love to do, you feel like there’s nothing new happening… then it’s really time you pause, and ask yourself this, “When did I last go on a holiday? Like a real holiday!” Simply put, when your passion also doesn’t make you feel the thrill, it doesn’t mean you switch your job, which seems to have become a trend lately. Instead, you only need to plan a holiday that recharges your mind and body.

People, gone are the days when a holiday was a luxury that came only once a year when you got your bonuses. A holiday is now no more that time of the year which came marked in red, on the calendar. Because, you are not living in the same time as your grandparents or your parents did. The difference is in the way they worked and the way you work. Where they were content in a 9-5 job, and a pension, you want to work where there are challenges, there’s growth, there’s innovation, and most importantly, where there’s satisfaction; you want so much more from yourself. Thus, when you work in this manner, and constantly pushing yourself becomes a little overwhelming at times, you need a breather called HOLIDAY!!! Not the one where you’re checking-in on your facebook profile, and uploading selfies at the rate of 1/min, but the one which lets you actually dive into a world of experiences, for which you just need to stop and look around for a moment.

Of course, now there are those who argue that, “What difference is sipping the same cup of coffee in a different location going to make?” Well, it doesn’t have to be the same cup of coffee, it can be the colorful local juice the beachside resort has to offer, or even a healthy concoction of some herbs the monks in the monastery drink (Lame joke, I know…but imagine, come on!). The LOCATION is what makes the difference, dear subjects. Because, on this beautiful location that you’ve chosen to spend your precious holiday time, your boss is absent, also minus your work. This mesmerizing valley of mountains, or the never ending spread of the sands, or the dense mysterious forests, or the all time favorite crystal clear beach (possibilities are endless), that faces you, is the key to your happiness which has become ephemeral of late. And just because, I’m mentioning only the natural healers, doesn’t mean a holiday will cut you off from the real world, to which you’re so addicted to. NO! Here among these wonders too, dear humans, are the manmade marvels that give you the thrill or the comfort, whatever it is that you’re looking for. Bungee jumping gets you going? Then get going! Yoga sets your clock right? Then why not set it right in fresh, pure air? Wandering in the local market makes you feel a part of life? Then, be a part of life at a place where you just wander aimlessly, and not hunt for the daily necessities, in the market!

Give yourself a treat! You deserve it! Don’t buy a dress or a new phone to do this, instead go to a place where you could use these, to make, and capture rejuvenating memories to last you for the next demanding success marathon you plan to run. The fun is not in coming first, it is in enjoying the ride, and keeping yourself above everything else… it is in spending the money you earned, in a place where YOU were at peace. And we say all this, because guys, we have once been in the exhausting rut you might be in right now, and we decided to listen to another wise man who gave us the same advice we’re giving you, and oh are we having the time of our lives flourishing in the work we do, and pampering ourselves…is a question we needn’t answer because the next holiday plan can’t wait anymore to come into reality!
